This program offers Akanksha alumni trainee positions in different Akanksha departments including teaching, art, public relations, human resources, social work, finance, and administration. Trainees are paired with mentor trainers who are usually department Managers. Trainees are given a monthly stipend and are required to work 18 hours a week for a period of one year.

I joined Akanksha 5 years ago and at that time I did not know anything, not even a single word in English. At Akanksha I learnt so many things - values, skills, how to solve problems, how to become confident. Earlier I did not know how to talk in front of ten people. Didis and Bhaiyas have built my confidence and energized me. They are expecting a lot from me and that is why I want to do something for myself. I want to prove that I can do anything I want with my life. What Akanksha has given me I want to give back to Akanksha. As a trainee, I want to do my best for my Didi.

One more thing Akanksha Didis and Bhaiyas have taught me is that getting a first class in the examination is not only important thing. Without manners and responsibility you will not succeed.
