Scholarship Program

All Akanksha students that have completed their 10th Grade successfully are eligible for a 5 year renewable scholarship that covers junior and degree college. Akanksha screens candidates through an panel interview, recommendations from teachers and social workers, the student’s academic record, and a needs assessment. Akanskha will then determine the scholarship, which will cover 30-90% of the total cost of attending college. These costs include college fees, transportation, and material. This year we estimate that approximately 200 children will enroll in college. These scholarships typically amount to 5000/child.
