The Learning to Lead Program identifies those children who have the potential for leadership and excellence provides them with intensive academic and leadership opportunities.
The program, inspired by Prep for Prep Inc. (NYC), takes students through seven years of intensive study. Each year, a new batch of 10 students is selected. Students spend four hours in the program every day, studying through the academic year and even more intensively in the vacation periods. Classes are small, interactive and challenging. LTL students are transferred to private schools, helped with extra classes, and encouraged to become role models for other Akanksha students. The final objective of the program is for LTL students to graduate as role models who have huge leaps in their own lives and effected change in their community.

“The kids have a packed schedule with school, center, tuitions and other activities, yet they continue to work hard with the sole motive of realizing their dreams. Yes, there are times when they get distracted or face hurdles, but, like true leaders they have learnt to take the problems in their stride, get up and keep going.”- Poorvi didi
