A hand from bhaiya and didi.
Always gets us ready
That’s for you
The ‘TEAM’ of F.M II’

Our favorite thinking question:

Rashida

Rashida is an extremely intelligent and hard working kid, who has been with us from the first day that our center opened! The second child among five, she is always eager to learn and help. Her father is always sick and her mother, with many kids, is too frail to work. Although she deals with so many hardships, Rashida is not one to ask, but very pleased to share. She is among the brightest kids in the center, always grabs 2-3 prizes on Graduation Day.
Rashida has a good command over English and the Welfare Dept. – Forbes Marshall always has her speaking to their foreign guests! She has taken part in both of our major events – the musical (2005), and Sports Day (won prizes both the time). She takes active interest in any activity done at the center. Right now she’s part of the art program and is playing the narrator’s role in the short play – ‘Snow white and the seven Dwarfs’.
Rashida today makes us feel that we at Akanksha has achieved a ‘little’ and can surely progress towards ‘more’!

Alim

A very simple and down-to-earth boy, Alim comes from a large family of boys and his sister-in-law makes him do all the housework. He has been with us since we started the center. When Alim first joined, he was very moody and difficult to handle. Slowly, over time he mellowed. Counseling him and his parents has definitely helped. Today Alim has jumped from a slow start to being one of the best in his level. He is ready to learn anything new and speaks in English most of the time. He practices values in and out of the class and most of the time is a peacemaker. Alim is very popular among his friends and the older girls just adore him!
