Gaurav Namdev Pawar, 8, goes to Supari Tank School and is in class 3.

Gaurav comes from the Pimperashwar Wadi community. He lives with his parents, grandmother and younger sister. His mother works as a domestic helper and his father makes shoes for a living.

Rama Didi says that Gaurav's educational foundation is very strong. He picks up things very fast and understands concepts well. She says he is not very confident of himself as yet. But Didi says he makes an attempt to speak in English all the time and he was one of the first to speak in English in just two weeks. He shows initiative and that pleases Didi. He understands values very well and is extremely well behaved. He loves coming to Akanksha and is very regular.

Gaurav loves coming to Akanksha. In Akanksha they get to do drawing, which he enjoys very much. He loves colouring, and his favourite colours are blue, yellow and red. He can recite all the days of the week and is very proud of that.
