Children's Families

Sana Ansari's Mother: Our children learn to show love and respect. They learn English and also learn how to behave and talk to others. They learn how to cope with their studies. Basically I feel that Akanksha is motherhood for each and every child.

Manisha's mother: Akanksha is a ray of hope not only for our children but our entire family. We can see the difference between our kids and the others who are not going to Akanksha.

Pratiksha's father: "She is always reciting songs she learnt in Akanksha. She has become bolder now and is already speaking many English words like sit down, come here. We are so happy.

Sanjana's mother: Sanjana would not miss Akanksha for any thing in the world, we in fact changed our child's school so that she could attend Akanksha. I feel so proud when our children can speak in English. We get to learn a lot at the parents meeting too. Prachi didi is like a second mother to our children.

Pooja's mother: Before coming to Akanksha all Pooja's teachers in school used to ridicule her and say that she is not good in studies and hence Pooja lost interest in going to school. After coming to Akanksha she has now gained a lot of self confidence.

Dilshad, Naushd, Rafi and Shabana's: I want them to move out of the community and make their life. Akanksha is the light house for us. It is not just studies but my kids are well behaved because of Akanskha. They don't speak about their formal school but eat our head with tales of Didis and Bhaiyas.

Recently we took in some new children and the newly recruited children, after attending the centre for a week were asked to come after 3 days when their assessments were supposed to happen. On the fourth day, all the parents came with their children and said, "Didi, what did you do in the 3 days that our kids are not ready to stay at home in the afternoon and cry for coming to the centre.!?' - Deepshika didi

Aashish's Mother: 'Since he has joined Akanksha he never wants to miss even a turn. This is because the Didi teaches well and also never raises her hand at them. They also teach differently at Akanksha, for example they do drama and drawing. These methods are easy for the children to understand.

Shomaliya and Soyaib's mother: 'When our children come home from Akanksha they always have lots to tell us. The Didi teaches so well, that whatever she says stays in their minds.

Tehrunnisa's mother:
"Tehrunnisa has become independent. She wants to be a teacher. Some of the important things that i feel she has learned are speaking English, meeting different people and learning to respect them. Her attitude has also become better after being in Akanksha".

Laxmi's mother:
"My daughter Laxmi wants to go to Akanksha even if she's not well. She helps me to manage my shop. She teaches my older daughters things she learns at Akanksha."

Yogesh's grandmother:
I liked it when Yogesh danced on stage.

Swapnil and Snehal's mother: I can see a difference in my children now. They use words like "Thank You" and "Welcome" and sometimes words I don't even know. Both my children are happy at Akanksha and show me their stars every time they get one. They never want to miss a turn even if they are unwell. And I know that their learning English would benefit them in the future.

Samina and Rubina's mother: "Akanksha has helped our children a lot. They have become very confident. Their English has improved tremendously and with them our comprehension of English has also improved. Teachers give personal attention to each child and explain till everything is understood. Most importantly, they do not hit".

Aasma's mother: "I feel so great that my child can also speak English like others."

Shanobar's mother: "Akanksha is doing a great job by teaching our children and the love which Didi's and Bhaiya's give to our children makes us feel happy."
