Mohar Ali Muslimmulla

Mohar, 20, has been with Akanksha for over 12 years. Through his time at Akanksha, Mohar attended two Akanksha centres and participated in many programs including computers, mentor, empowerment and his favorite – dance.

Today as an Akanksha Alumni, Mohar is a professional. Through Akanksha, he did a housekeeping course at Radha Krishna Hospitality Services, following which he got a job as a Steward in Lupin company. When he got his job, Mohar remarked, “Now I realize the value of all that I learnt at Akanksha. I feel confident and proud when I speak to big people in English. I also realize that one needs to have a stable career and that’s the reason I want to be in the hospitality field. Some people feel that I am studying only to be a waiter, but I feel that no job is small. I have learnt to respect all types of work at Akanksha. I know that if I work hard and if I am honest I will progress in my job. After a few years I wish that I am in a higher post and have a few people working under me.”

Today, Mohar is a supervisor at Radha Krishna Hospitality Services, has six people reporting to him, is an active member of the Akanksha Social Leadership Program and continues to dance and act with Akanksha.
