We organized an event called "My Mama dear" for my children and their mothers where mama's wrote down their dreams for their kids and the kids wrote down their dreams. Then the kids sang a "Mama Dear" song, and whenever the words "my mama dear" came in the song they were supposed to hug their mama's. All 34 Mama's turned up in their best clothes and jewelry. They proudly wrote about their dreams for their children. They heard their kids sing and even got unexpected hugs from their kids. The kids were trying to impress their mama's by talking in English. The photographs turned out great and all the smiles and happy faces portrayed what they felt about the event. We have never experienced such satisfaction in our whole life.

My proud moments are when ex-students, graduates, come back to meet me at the centre. I see the kids getting jobs, getting into college and working hard at whatever they are doing after leaving Akanksha. Babita is now going to Sophia College. Just to see her face so excited with life and full of determination when she used to be so shy. Mahesh is going for engineering and seeing the result of Akanksha's teaching.
