Aditya Parashar and his team from Maverick Systems, Ltd. visited Akanksha’s Abhyudaya Nagar Mumbai Public School in November of 2011. They came out invigorated by and inspired from what they saw, and their employees wrote to Akanksha with the following feedback:

I think I was BACK to MYSELF in our Akanksha school visit! Generally, in our daily hectic schedules and unrealistic deadlines at work, we lose ourselves, but the moments that we spent at Akanksha gave us a strong nostalgic feeling of how we were, and how we should be!! We experienced compassion, affection, and simplicity. I always knew that we would feel good once we spent time with children, but I was not aware that we would be EMPOWERED by the hard work and sheer dedication of the TFI & Akanksha volunteers. Akansha is not only giving education to the needy, but is shaping our future generation. By helping Akanksha we actually help and rejuvenate ourselves. Will surely be a part of this initiative in the future, and wish all the best to Akanksha” – Aditya Parashar

“I would say, by seeing these kids and their didi’s, I’m getting hope for the future of India. I understood, that there is way to help others and to our nation” - SK Vijalakshmi

“The Akanksha children had become very close to our hearts within hours of the time we spent there. The affection shown towards us cannot be explained in words. The creativity they had and the way they speak English is not seen in many students at other schools. It was one of those few experiences that cannot be explained with words” - Regula Naveen

Leader’s Quest, a London based organization that trains leaders in low-income communities, and takes people in leadership positions on retreats throughout the globe to explore different issues, and connects leaders from all over the globe to learn from one another, visited Akanksha’s Shindewadi Mumbai Public School in November of 2011. Here is an excerpt of the Program Manager’s feedback:

“The SAP Questors came away from our time at the school inspired, energized and I must admit, a little dazed. For me personally, it was motivating to see how you have built up such a dedicated and resilient team, working collectively to make significant changes in the local community and the wider education system. It became very clear to me after spending time with a group of your kids, all of whom were eloquent, warm, incessantly inquisitive, and incredibly well behaved, how high the quality of your teaching must be. The dedication that you have put in over the past three years and the passion that you have for your work was a great source of energy and inspiration for us all. – Ella Fletcher, Leader’s Quest Program Manager
